I was unsure if I would like this, the cover looks good but not the type of book I’d usually pick and I’m wary of books set many years ago as the language used can sometimes be difficult however this seems straightforward enough to read. There’s some good background here and the conflicts in New York over 200 years are not something I’ve ever considered but make for a good setting
