I loved the cover of this book - it really drew me in as I don't usually pick up historical novels.
When I started reading I was immediately transported back to New York in 1803. The characters were introduced easily and sympathetically and I liked Kerry from the start as she appeared to be a strong woman even from the first few pages. I want to know more about her and Justy, the other character introduced in the second chapter
