The key to success when writing a book is often how it starts.
OK this is speculation as I’ve never written a book but I know that if I’m gripped by the first few pages I am almost certain to enjoy it and finish it. If I don’t like the start I may well put it aside.
The thought of a big old fashioned key is intriguing. Not sure why , it just is. I can picture the key and lock as described here and wonder what it might hide.
