I had high hopes for this book. It’s the genre of book that I love and sounded like it was going to be a book that I would race through. How wrong I was!
The story gives the impression that it will be interesting but I didn’t find this to be the case and was bored reading it to the point where I very didn’t nearly finish the book. I carried on though and was very disappointed.
The characters don’t have much background and lack the detail that would have helped the book move. The pace is slow and tough going.
It is a real shame as this was one that I was really looking forward to. Liked the artwork on the book though! Think it’s one that appeals in the local bookshop.
