I have to say this exceeded my expectations I really enjoyed the first book quite unlike anything I've read before with the perfect balance of mystery, action and a little romance too.
Loved reading about 19th century New York and its characters especially our protagonist Marshal Justy and the development he goes through. There is a glossary for the somewhat confusing terminology the characters used which makes the novel even more lively.
I have to say Kerry, Justice's ally and love interest is just as important in this story as the main character she's fierce, brave and very likeable.
I intent to follow this series I actually wanted to read more and was a little sad when it finished. Thank you!
