The premise of this novel is the rising tension between black and Irish gangs as the growth of the population threatens each of the gangs territories. The brutal murder of a young girl sends shockwaves through the community and further violence breaks out in the aftermath. The surprising reflection of many areas of society made for a great read from this fabulous author. I loved the development of the characters and the storytelling within the novel, it was extremely well written and I would definitely recommend giving Hudson’s kill a read! I’m glad I was able to ref this advanced copy of the book and look forward to other titles by this author in the future!!
