A delicious read just like a bar of Fruit and Nut!
I have just read the opening section of ‘Hungry’ and the only negative is that it had to stop at page 64. I was already hooked!
As a Generation X child myself I loved the references to roller skates, Sindy, Salt n’ Shake crisps, Findus Crispy Pancakes, Pickled Onion Monster Munch! I completely related to the 80’s era of playing out and the freedom pre mobile phone and pre internet. I myself loved going to Brownies and my mum’s home made rice pudding. Therefore I know I would love to read all of this book as it was my childhood era too. Happy times, fun and laughter, working family life. Nostalgia. Perfection.
