This is a true down to earth and insightful book. Although the book revolves around food, you do not need to be a foodie to enjoy it. As a working class girl, I could relate a lot to the writer. She writes as a northerner speaks and reflects on what most of us would have grown up with, such as Readybrek, which places you back in that time. It is a funny book, but with moments of sadness, which Grace articulates well. I laughed reading almost every page, but also felt like I was back in time. I would buy this book, especially as I have been left wanting to know her Dad's past.
