This snapshot of this book just brings to life how different families can be, and yet there are similarities. There is the pain, the joys and yes the memories of food that can bring back childhood memories either of happiness or pain. I looking into this couldn’t get into this feeling as I never really felt any of this, which makes me feel so lucky for the wonderful family I have and had as I grew up. Reading these snapshots is hard to read and for me to understand. It’s like another world one in which I have most likely been sheltered from. There is still fondness and cherished memories and also joys. It makes you think about your own memories and how food plays a part in that.
