Although I love Grace Dent I didn't think a book about food would be of much interest, but I was wrong. Despite being 10 years older and from down south, her experiences are almost identical to mine; the waves of nostalgia as she talked about the food of her childhood (I can just about forgive her for forgetting about the animal moulds in the supermousse pots), school dinners, and Brownie Guide church parades. I was stunned as I realised I can still remember all the words of the Brownie Guide Promise, over 40 years later. I cannot wait to read more
