I only usually read memoirs and other books of similar types if I have a long term investment or following of the author. In this case, I haven't but I was pleasantly surprised with what I read in the first look provided. It is so warm and nostalgic and as a Northern lass myself with ties Carlisle and Shap, it was really nice to read things relatively local to myself and smile at my own memories alongside these. I look forward to reading more and learning more about her life and own memories.
