For anyone who loves food and reading this book is a real feast! Grace Dent looks back over her life and recalls her experiences with food and how it has shaped her life, as she was growing up.

To all of us food is a big part of our lives in one way or another and this book shows how a simple meal can invoke strong memories or feelings. It is a look back at what we used to eat and shows how the food industry and the media relating to it has changed over the past 40 years.

I think Grace tells her story with a real warmth, a touch of humour and a feeling that her story could be any ones. To me it brought back happy memories of things we used to eat in our family when I was a child, even things that I had completely forgotten about. Food is attached to every season of our lives and this book is a reminder of how important it is to us. I really enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to anyone who loves reading about food and peoples lives.
