This really funny and interesting memoir is written by journalist and restaurant critic Grace Dent.
Even if you know nothing about her work you and read this and be interested.
From tales of junk food from the 80s and 90s to reviews of concept restaurant's the author has a very funny way of writing. Never have I heard the staff who reduce foods in Asda in such a way that has made me laugh out loud.
There are also very serious themes in here from finding your identity to her parent's illnesses this tale is told with love for her family and I loved every page. Told in such a compassionate and caring way that you are there with her when she is telling tales of her family adventures.
This book is recommended to all and not just fans as it is a really interesting read.
Thank you to the author, publisher and Reader's First in allowing me to read in return for a review.
