I liked this book a lot more than I thought I would. Before reading, I was not aware of Grace Dent or her other work, but after reading 'Hungry', I'm interested in looking into her further.
I thought the book was incredibly charming, and I loved the original concept of the novel, with short memoirs centralised around food - something which is so relatable to everyone! Grace Dent cleverly incorporates the story of her childhood, which is quite deep and monumental in places, with more humorous and lighthearted memories of food related to these times. It's incredibly interesting to compare own stories and food memories to those described in the book.
I thought the book was well laid out, with good chapter sizes, and I enjoy the diary style. I would definitely recommend this book to others and I am incredibly glad that I got the opportunity to read and review it!
