Hungry by Grace Dent

This was another book I wasn't quite sure I would want to read.
It was very 50/50 but as I read 1-3 books a weeks I am always on the outlook for something new and interesting to try.

I was certainly not disappointed I loved it.

It is crammed full of chuckles to keep me going for days throughout lock down.It really is a book that brings many a smile to ones face.

Back in the 1970's my memory is suddenly and pleasantly brought to life and I find myself constantly saying to my husband such questions as "do you remember Angel Delight" which I still see on the shelves today (mind you Bournvita a malted cocoa drink powder made by Cadbury together with Jelly creams and Miss muffet junket all favourites of mine now gone forever) the tins of green processed marrow fat peas I loved as a child too but not the tins of garden peas.
I remember the NAFFI in Malta where as a new wife I bought birds eye rissoles, so small, in packs of 2 one each!!! if I remember correctly.

This book has brought back so many memories do read it if you get the chance I am sure like me it will not disappoint you,
It is truly EXCELLENT
