This book is incredibly written, it was a book that I didn’t want to put down which meant I read incredibly fast. It touches the topics beautifully and is truly fascinating. It grabbed my attention from page one and still left me interested throughout.

It involves family and heartbreak. It has both happy and sad moments of genuine emotion. The story really grips you as it progresses. The description of the fathers illness broke my heart along with the amount of time it took for the family to realise.

We hear a lot of Grace’s childhood in the working class. Most of her remembrances growing up relate to certain foods and the memories they evoke even down to a chocolate bar and occasions when it was eaten. Grace has seemingly come from nowhere and made a name for herself doing what she does best. This is a great read and I would definitely recommend.
