Both a heart warming and heart breaking memoir from Grace. The book talks about memories of the past and the associations with food, that felt so nostalgic. The parts that discuss Graces life more recently are very raw and emotional, and is important for people to understand. The memoir comes across as being very open and honest. Grace is a real inspiration, being someone that has worked hard to get to where she is, and proving that you can battle against stigmas of class. This book contains so much, and I would have loved for the book to have been longer and to have delved deeper into a lot of the topics/areas touched on. It is so interesting to read about Graces past and present - she really has experienced so much. Some parts were a little confusing where it jumped about a little regarding the timeline of events. I really enjoyed this book, and made me think back to my own childhood. The fond memories I have and the food memories. Very sad to get to the end, as I wanted to find out more. I think this could definitely be explored further.
