I got to one hundred pages in and closed the book for the last time. I had super high hopes for this book, a gritty story to get my teeth into. A story about obsession, aspiration and doing whatever it takes to make it to the top. Unfortunately after I got past the first impressions, my second impressions where dismal. I just couldn't stay interested, my mind kept wondering to what I was going to cook for dinner, or what plans I might have for the following day. My biggest apologies to the author, who would have slaved away to make this story just right. However it was just not right for me. I'm pretty sure this is aimed at a young adult audience, and usually I'm all for a YA tale, but this time it wasn't floating my boat. Despite all of that, the front cover is very eye catching and it's nice to see some of the chapter pages having something more than just words displayed.
