A dark story
Before reading I Feed Her To the Beast and the Beast Is Me, I had no idea how dark and cutthroat the world of ballerinas could be. It's not a topic I have any experience with and haven't read anything similar before.
Laure is a really talented and brilliant ballerina who is top in her class, is tired of constantly being overlooked. So she bathes in a river of blood and makes a deal to receive power. But is the sacrifice worth it?
I really enjoyed the author's writing style. I was captivated. The characters are all brilliant. Some I loved, some I hated but all were well developed. I love Laure. She should feel angry, she should be cutthroat.
The story is fast paced. So much happens, so quickly, I had to keep reading.
Also, what a fantastic cover. So creepy and eye catching at the same time.
Anyone at all interested in ballet is going to enjoy this book.
