Ballet meets Horror.
I admit that I have never been a fan of Ballet, even as a child I was not one of those girls who went to Ballet lessons, although many of the girls I knew did. Going to see a Ballet has never been of interest to me and I do not even watch ballets when they are shown on screen. So why did I opt to read this book ? you may ask.
Well, the first thing about the book that caught my eye was the cover and the character on the cover. There is a picture of a very nice looking dark skinned young woman floating in what looks like a river of blood. This cover picture made me think of Horror, and I do enjoy reading Horror books and watching Horror films, so I decided to give the book a try.
The main character in the story is a young woman named Laure who wants to be a ballerina. Although she is a good dancer ,and she certainly looks the part with her beautiful face and figure, she is soon to find out that the ballet world is not a friendly world to belong to. So how far will she go to get the success that she believes should belong to her?
