I thought this was a really good book. The title immediately grabbed my attention. It is an unusual read but I loved the incorporation of the world of ballet and horror. The book is fast-paced and has been written very well. At first, I was unsure how this book would turn out but I think this was a great and enjoyable read.

The writer explores the completive aspects of ballet and how dark and twisted it can be as well as racial discrimination and isolation. The dialogue used to describe the ballet dances was beautiful and full of emotion. You could imagine some of the scenes.

The book follows the main protagonist Laure a fantastic ballet dancer, who although is at the top of her class is constantly overlooked by others. Relationships change between ballerinas as a result of jealousy and the competitive nature. Laure is so desperate for others to see how she is that she cuts a deal with something dark, evil and powerful. But this comes at a cost...

What will be the consequences?
How far will Laure go to get what she wants/deserves?
Is it too late to turn back?

A fantastic book full of ballet and monsters with the end hinting at a possible second book!

THERE WILL BE BLOOD........
