This is a book aimed at the young adult generation but well worth reading by the older members of society. It’s a bit gruesome and a little scary but carries the story at an admirable pace so you just need to keep on reading!
It’s the story of a young black girl in Paris who has devoted herself to becoming the best ballerina she possibly can be. Unfortunately ballet will not bend their template of balletic superiority away from the white fair haired girl. Even though Laure surpasses all the other students she never gets the recognition she deserves.
Laure ventures into the catacombs under Paris discovering something that will give her all that she desires…. But is she strong enough not to be overwhelmed by the darkness that wants her.
This novel should do well as it has a strong plot line and distinctive characters with a few surprises throughout.
