The main character Laure wants to achieve even if it means selling her soul to the devil. If you are into ballet you'll definitely love it . I enjoyed the side of it that truly shows how hard the life of a ballerina can be and all the struggle you have to go through to succeed. But there wasn't enough about the dark world. So it started off so interesting but then just became repetitive and scattered. The main story about selling your soul to the devil has been done many times before and in lots of situations so I did feel I wasn't reading anything unique. The book is aimed at the YA audience but did feel that if this is your thing then anyone can read it. Plus, there's a young, Black lead, and diverse characters. The story is definitely interesting. I thought it took a while to get to the meat of the story. Little things in the beginning kept me thinking this must be important. To which most of it was. But a good story and different. Which I always appreciate!
