I enjoyed this novel a lot, the level of detail and research that has evidently gone into every aspect from character development to the art form and inner world of ballet is wonderful.
I loved the way throughout there is a constant idea of good and bad in everyone and how this is portrayed and used differently in each character felt true to life, whilst the fantasy aspects still allowed you to escape from reality for a while.
The only reason this got four rather than five stars from me is because I did see the ending coming from quite early on and so whilst the quality of the writing was consistent and beautiful throughout, and there were specific details I had obviously not considered, I did find the general story line a bit predictable.
I do look forward to reading more from Jamison Shea and what more Acheron has to offer.
Also wanted to add, the cover and aesthetic details on the inner pages as well are absolutely stunning.
