This novel was hard going at first but did get a little better as you read more. It is probably not a novel I would read again though. Some of the descriptive passage,s were really well written but you did not really feel a pull to any of the character,s which was a shame as a novel is always better when you feel some sort of feelings for the character,s. I liked the fact it was set in Paris and the catacombs and other underground area,s. I think there were too many / much ballet talk that was a little unnecessary as it didn't add to the story and just seemed to get in the way. I really do not think I would necessarily read anything else from this author as it was hard to get in too and there was too much unnecessary ballet description,s that didn't really help with the flow of this novel. It was not badly written and I think it would appeal to some people just not me.
