sadly this book just didnt do it for me
guess it doesn't help i have no interest in ballet, but more than that i just didn't connect with any of the characters at all, there was not enough backstory to any of them making it hard to work out their motivations for anything they did, like some of the other reviewers i found the story jumped in places and didn't flow well, the ending felt far too predictable, at no point was i surprised by anything that happened , i feel like the idea behind the book, a young girl from a difficult up-bringing, fighting her way to be the best and doing whatever it takes to get there, add to that a supernatural river that grants your deepest desires has a lot of merit but it just didn't hold my attention, i did finish it as i hoped it would get better but i just felt deflated by the end, it looks like there is a set up for a 2nd book but i cant see me wanting to read it,
