Totally unexpected but magestic

The style of mystery kept me wondering what the book was about because of the unusual blurb. The book seemed to be about the hardships of a ballerina which technically it was but the twist of the great extents that some ballerina go through to cheat the cryptic system is represented with a gory twist. Although it is exaggerated from what a regular ballerina will go through it is a good depiction of the harsh environment that ballet can great. Laure represents the internal struggle that this causes along with her loss and hardships of her childhood. The betrayal of Coralie her only and best friend creates the drastic change in storyline and reiterates how laure cannot trust anyone. The alliance with the other people with gifts creates the loving home for laure that she deserves despite her sacrifices.
Overall I loved the story and would definitely read a sequel to see who Acheron recruits next.
