I was looking forward to reading I Loved You In Another Life as the story sounded so different to anything I'd read before but I was left very disappointed and bored with the story.

It took me forever to read this book as I just couldn't get into it. The story follows two characters, who each have chapters from their perspective in the book, who end up hearing a song that they can't quite make out but figure it's to do with a past life they shared. I say they figure this out but they don't even meet until a significant amount of chapters into the book which is strange when the book is about the pair of them. Likewise the past life flashbacks also seem pointless as they are very few and never seem to relate to anything going on in the current day story so I don't really understand why they're there or why they're supposed to be the focus of the book.

Even when I finished the story I didn't feel particularly connected to the characters nor did the two main characters feel connected in any way despite the whole story being about them. This is a book that has a good storyline and theme in theory but it is not done well which is a shame as it could've been a great and unique storyline for a book.
