Evan Taft is struggling, he is responsible for so much at the moment, his mother has been diagnosed with cancer and his farther was left so he is coping with trying to keep things going at home, help look after his young brother Will and help his mother.
All while he sacrifices his dreams of college.
Then he hears the songs, the music drawing him.
Shosh has lost her sister in the worst way possible, killed by a hit and run drunk driver, she is sinking into alcohol and has given up her dreams of acting and life is a mess.
She too heard the call of the songs.
Then one day she and Evan meet and it's like they were always meant to be, as if they have found each other across space and time.
This was fantastic all the way through, great characters, situations, storyline.
But the ending just left me a little confused and flat.
After such a great read it was a little disappointing as it seemed to feel rushed and lose a little direction.
