Evan Taft is a good kid, he is struggling to keep things going at home and responsibility lies heavily on his shoulders.
His mother has been diagnosed with cancer, she needs help and care and then there is his little brother Will, ruining the house and schoolwork and his father has left the family home.
It's a lot for just one teen so he feels he has to sacrifice college.
Then one day he hears haunting music.
Shosh's sister was killed in a drunken hit and run, she too is hitting the bottle, her acting career dreams are in ruins and life is chaos for her.
She too hears the music.
She and Evan meet and it's like it was destined and pre ordained and that it was always meant to be this way.
This was an interesting concept and a great story and I really cared about the characters but I found the ending a little rushed and a bit of a let down which was a real shame.
