I know this is YA and I am significantly older than that but I usually really enjoy this type of book.

I found this one was written slightly weirdly. Set between the voices of Evan and Shosh. Both who were having a hard time for different reasons within their family life. And seemed to have their lives and ambitions on hold.

I enjoyed the split between them. But I found the random chapters about other people confusing. I’m still not sure what they added to the story or even why they were there? It was never fully explained.

I found both characters home lives very sad. Dealing with death of a sibling and cancer is never and easy topic howeve I did find this to be sympathetically done.

Not sure I would let my children read this. As it’s not something o fully understood.

Overall a good read but not what I was expecting and not as well written as I would have liked.
