The way the book was set out with the two characters interspersed with the past was really interesting although confusing at first. Both characters had great pasts that were revealed over time as well as interesting futures that you would not expect to coincide. All of the book had a magical feel to it through the music that followed them through and the destiny that you could foresee even as a reader. The cover was gorgeous one of the prettiest i have seen, it reflected the magical feel beautifully and had a lovely colour scheme too. The side characters of the main ones families and friends also had really nice and developed personalities that fit well with the story. I liked how they both seemed to have good support systems carrying them through the hard times and enabling them to be brought together like they were supposed to be in the end.
