One thing I have learnt from this book is that Stewart Lee REALLY dislikes Ricky Gervais (I think Mr Lee just went up in my estimation).
I am aware of Robin Ince in his day job as a comedian and he is okay in that role; not one of my favourites but I wouldn't change the channel if he came on - sort of wallpaper comedy or the muzak version of comedy. Unfortunately this book is delivered very much in his voice which makes it wryly amusing in places and a little didactic in others.
Somehow I get the impression that this would be a hard slog of a book to get through and although I understand that concept of it I just find the execution a little lacking.
