I think this book is brilliant. It engages the audience who it’s being read to to get them to engage. As someone who will use these in my lessons, it is sometimes hard to get people to listen and grab a story. With this book they have to interact back which makes them giggle. On top of that, when you get them to answer back they laugh meaning they are into the story. The replies are also short rhyming and basic, meaning that they laugh aloud as they go along. The words aren’t hard to read so they can read as a group and have a leader. This encourages them to read themselves which is great.
The illustrations are lovely. They are basic which means the learners focus, but I would have liked slightly more on the page just to grab them. The colours are bold and focussed on the bear being followed.
Having not read the previous books I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was lovely to read this.
