Clear illustrations in this fun book. As a shared book with a child this would give lots of laughter and giggles. Often books for children require passivity on the part of the child, this book requires both the reader and anyone looking at this book to think.
The book also helps to develop memory, when to say an opposite or rhyming word which will help to develop the readers interest. On a second read some children would remember when to say “no”, I imagine some small groups could be very excited and engaged in the story.
The illustrations as I mentioned are very clear and almost childlike in their drawing. They use a combination of bright colours and simplicity. I imagine it would be of interest to both boys and girls of varying ages from four to seven; children may then want to make up their own story with words to exchange.
