I Say Oh, You Say No is a fun interactive book about a bear with a bare bear butt who just wants to dance!
This is such a fun book that is great for reading in groups and the children really enjoyed. The story has lots of prompts in it for children to join in by either saying a word after a word is mentioned in the story or doing an action like stamping feet. For this reason it is a book that wouldn't be suitable for every occasion as it would be impossible to read in bed and it wouldn't work for our snack time either when the children like a story!
The children liked getting to join in with the story and it was fun how the story was written in a way that felt like you were interacting with the author as he introduced us to the bear.
The illustrations are unlike any book we've read before with a lot of pages just having large words on them and no pictures and others have the bear but only the bear. This gives a simplicity to the illustrations but it works really well for the book and it didn't make the story any less engaging, if anything it probably made it more engaging! The children loved seeing the bear and his bottom as they found it very funny to see.
They loved this book and we'd love to read more similar books in the future. This is a fun way book to enjoy at story time if you're ready for lots of interaction and lots of giggles!
