This is one of our new favourite stories. My 4 year old finds this just as funny every time we read it, as the first time that we read it.

My 2 year old doesn't really understand the concept, but does enjoy hearing the story play out, and the illustrations keep her well engaged too.

I must say, even I enjoy reading it. It's funny for adults to witness the laughter and joy it produces in the children.

Despite being a slightly complicated and bizarre story. The concept is a great one, it's also really easy to read with a good pace and lots of rhyming.

The illustrations are funny and the colours are vibrant, which is an important part of a children's book to keep them engaged. But the best part is the engagement that it encourages, getting children involved in their reading experiences to keep them paying attention and enjoying storytime.

I'd definitely recommend this to pre-schooler parents and teachers.
