I figured the best way to get an honest opinion of this book was to ask the target audience. So I read with my son (who is 8, so slightly older than the intended audience but we still read together and he doesn’t like to read anything too serious) - he loved it! And insisted o give it 5 stars!
At first I thought there might be too many instructions and 3-4 years olds wouldn’t get it, but knowing these books as I do, you end up reading them night after night. So after a couple of goes round children would easily remember what moves / worlds to say with each prompt.
Reminded me a lot of the Oi Cat serious which we still come back to now and again, even though he’s older (I miss the days of the Gruffalo!)
The book is bright and colourful, everything you need to keep a small child engaged. It’s fun and silly and a great bedtime book to read together, you’ll soon find yourself saying “this one? Again..?! Ok…”
