I really enjoyed the first look of this book and thought it would be a whole load of fun introducing it as a bedtime story to my 3 year old.

What at first seemed an hilarious fun for all the family read, turned out to be a little confusing for such a young child. It was very interactive but my little boy didn't seem sure of what response was expected of him and I have to say I did find parts of it not really funny, but extremely odd.

That being said, there are plenty of books we have read together that didn't instantly go down as being one of our all time favourites but that over time became regular bedtime reads.

I think if this didn't cause my little one to be so crazy silly without really achieving anything I'd be all for this book, but for us it just didn't quite fit with what we usually look for in a book (provoking conversation, inspiring imagination, calming for bedtime or downtime)
