I was not expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did but the author has pitched everything just right. It flows so well and is so complimentary to the illustrations throughout. I really loved the pictures and the colours really popped off of the page - my autistic 3 year old really enjoyed staring at them too which is great because often picture books don’t hold his attention. I think all the artwork and colour choices have been done very well. I found the story funny and think that it will be appealing to parents too - it certainly had my laughing at the humour of it. You might have to concentrate to follow it at times as it requires you to make vocal responses in order for the story to make sense. It will need to be read to younger readers aloud rather than a book they can follow on their own as it is not a typical story book and you may need to prompt them to do what the story is asking them to do
