I can imagine that this book would be seriously good fun for groups of young children. I can totally see it being used in Pre-School/KS1 BUT it does rely on the children being focussed and involved.
Why? Well, when you see the word Oh, you have to shout No!
If you see a bee you have to shout Me!
You get the idea, by the end there are a few prompts to remember and it does heavily rely on children not missing any of them, otherwise the story doesn't work.
Luckily the word count is low and the illustrations are bold, bright and great fun. Kids will giggle themselves silly over Oh's Big Bare Bear Butt and there is no denying that it's interactive. Not only does it encourage shouting out the correct words but will also get your group up on their feet by the end.
