As is so often the case these days, I'm the target age for this book. However, I'm sure readers of the right age would find it enjoyable as long as they could find it believable a twelve-year-old girl would be asked to sign the Official Secrets Act! It has a kind of Enid Blyton Famous Five/Secret Seven vibe although a few phrases - 'worse case scenario' for example - seemed out of place.
