I, Spy: A Bletchley Park Mystery starts as World War Two breaks out. Robyn has lived at the park all of her life and can't wait for the day that she can start her apprenticeship with her dad in the garage. But the onset of war changes everything and she finds that not only is she not allowed to go to school anymore, but she also won't be joining her father as she longs to. Assigned to work with the carrier pigeons, Robyn and her friends Mary and Ned discover that there is more going on at Bletchley Park than meets the eye. What is the Heron up to? And who are the women that are living and working in the huts?

This is a middle grade spy adventure story loosely based on events that took part at Bletchley Park during WW2. I enjoyed the historical details and the fact that Robyn is a keen naturalist. The mystery is fun and has a twist at the end. I did get a bit fed up of Robyn at times, but I think that a younger audience will find her and her friends very appealing.

I loved the cover of this book-bright, eye catching, and nostalgic. I will look out for more books by this author in future.
