An enjoyable read, but not quite as good as it could've been...

Robyn Lewis lives at Bletchley Park with her parents, who work there. We meet Robyn in late summer 1939 when she is still enjoying the freedom which has been afforded to her, growing up in Bletchley. Things, however, are about to change...
Robyn is suddenly no longer allowed to go to school and her freedom to roam is curtailed. Her best friend, Mary (a evacuee from Liverpool) seems be uncontactable and there is a lot of unusual activity going on at The Park. Robyn is curious about all the comings and goings on, and is determined to find out what is happening in her beloved Bletchley.
This was an enjoyable read, although the author does play a bit fast and loose with historical events. Rhian Tracey does allude to this in an Author's Note at the end, but I'm not really convinced that all children would read on after the story ends...
My other issue with this book is that it seems to jump about between chapters - you feel like you've missed out chunks of the story. But all-in-all it is a decent enough read and length of story for the market it is aimed at.
