This book is a perfect book for the young people to read whom are studying history to get a real sense of war time. This book gives the war period from a child’s view point and also some experiences of what went on and what was involved in this time line. I felt the book did drag on a bit and lost some of the focus but it had a sense of adventure as the children in it were also involved in the war experience but also playing detective.
The main characters were all described well and the pictures on the cover were inline with this, the map in the first few pages helped to give a sense of where things took place and fir the readers to feel even more a part of the story with looking back at the map and surfing out where they were.
This book is good reading for you get people and the way it is written gives the reader a part in the investigation and being able to feel that they are helping too
