At first I was really excited because of the cover and the blurb however the further into the book I slowly lost interest. This is because I felt like lacked excitement. I did think the storyline was good but it was quite simplistic. I think it would be better for a younger audience, such as 10-12, as it helps them to understand a more mature topic and it’s easier for them to follow. I liked the characters but felt more character development was needed and I would have liked to know about some of the other characters that disappeared. I did enjoy how the book is filled with historical facts so definitely educational for younger readers as well. I would love to see a follow up book where we see Robyn after the war and more about her apprenticeship and friendships. I think Robyn’s adventures with her friends could make a really good series, so I look forward to any future books!
