From reading the first look I was keen to read "I Spy". This story is set at Bletchley Park in the war and the main character is a 12/13 year old girl called Robyn. Robyn lives there and is put to work in the loft with the carrier pigeons who do important work for the war effort. Along with her friends Mary and Ned, Robin embarks on a secret mission to monitor a fierce man who work at Bletchley, they give him the nickname "the Heron". They want to work out what he is up to and to catch him red handed.... I enjoyed reading this book. It was easy to get into and the main character is very likeable. Being a book for older children the book was written simply so was a nice read for an adult. I found the storyline interesting but felt the story wasn't as engrossing as I expected and I found the chapters jumped forward in time rather abruptly. Overall, in my opinion, it's not a bad book.
