I have always found the 'young loves get separated and find their ways back to each other when they're older and wiser' trope very comforting and one of my favourite romance tropes. However, this books expanded my love for each immensely. Although I didn't love the love interest at first (for my own personal reasons), I grew to fall in love with both of the main characters as fell in even more love with their story.

The idea of soulmates has always been something I struggled to write about but this books shows how to write a slow burn relationship. Additionally, it perfectly conveys the main character's feelings in an extraordinary but also realistic and familiar way so that readers would be able to sympathise for her and relate to her dilemma. This book engaged me since I first read the blurb but after I read it, I felt more attached. Loved it!
