Who hasn’t made this pact with friend, crushes, gay bf’s?
The sentiment of the pact is sweet and rings true within us all, who doesn’t want to have ‘achieved’ in life by being married, happy and loved? I felt that Anna Bell, the author could have gone deeper with the connotations of a loveless(?) platonic wedding, but it is a bit off fluff writing that Sophie Kinsella would be proud of!
There is a very relatable protagonist, Lydia, that made the story have a real comforting edge.
If there is a prequel I will definitely be buying it! A great novel for
As a rom-com, it had all the expected twists and turns but each was a good laugh. This is a feel-good book that will leave you feeling content.
I loved the inclusion of the quiz that you could follow along with yourself! I scored a 4/6! (page 16) try it yourself!
