I had a weird 'journey' with this book. I started off really, really enjoying this and was like- "This is a solid 4 star book". Then I kind felt like some things were annoying me and just...didn't enjoy it as much and I was like "It's more of a 3 star book now".

And then...I started really enjoying it again. I was thinking about this and I've concluded that it was Lydia's character and her actions at a certain point that really annoyed me and affected my enjoyment. But her development as a character was just incredible!! I'm so happy with certain decisions that she eventually made because some of her decisions really annoyed me- I understood them but I disagreed. It's very hard to explain how I felt without ruining anything so I'll give up now. I'll also say, this probably more a 3.5 star but that extra .5 is a) for the ending which was BRILLIANT (the ending/epilogue...whatever you want to call it!) and b) Lydia's character development.

As for Dan...I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about him. I did like him but I feel like he needed more character development because I still feel like I don't know much about him.

I loved the ending and overall, I would recommend this. To be more specific, I'd recommend this (probably) to fans of Sophie Kinsella. There are still a few minor things that bugged me but overall, I really enjoyed reading this.
